What is stainless steel flanged ball valve?

What is stainless steel flanged ball valve?

Stainless steel flanged ball valves can be closed tightly with only 90 degrees of rotation and a small moment of rotation.

The fully equal body cavity of stainless steel flanged ball valves provides a direct flow path with little resistance to the medium.

It is generally believed that ball valves are most suitable for direct opening and closing, but recent developments have designed ball valves to throttle and control flow.

The main characteristics of stainless steel flanged ball valves are compact structure, easy operation and maintenance. They are suitable for general working media such as water, solvents, acids and natural gas. They are also suitable for medium with poor working conditions, such as hydrogen peroxide, methane and ethylene.

The body of stainless steel flanged ball valve can be integral or modular. The ball valve should be installed in the horizontal direction of the pipeline.

Working Principle of Stainless Steel One-piece Ball Valve

1. Stainless steel one-piece ball valve in the opening process: in the closed position, the ball is pressed on the seat by the mechanical pressure of the stem.

When the handwheel is rotated counterclockwise, the stem moves in reverse, and the bottom corner plane of the stem causes the sphere to detach from the seat.

The stem continues to rise and interacts with the guide pin in the spiral groove of the stem, causing the ball to begin to rotate without friction.

Up to the full open position, the stem rises to the limit position and the sphere rotates to the full open position.

2. Stainless steel one-piece ball valve in the closing process: Clockwise rotation of the handle when closed, the stem began to fall and the ball began to rotate away from the seat.

Continuing to rotate the handwheel, the stem is acted by the guide pin embedded in the upper spiral groove, which makes the stem and sphere rotate 90 degrees at the same time.

Near closure, the sphere has rotated 90 degrees without contact with the seat.
